Participation Requirements

Here are the requirements for participation.

• Attend Parent Meeting: Attend a parent meeting. If you cannot, you will need to pay a $30 participation fee before auditioning. 
• Be a Student at Wellsville Elementary School: Participant is a child attending Wellsville Elementary School.
• Audition: Participant will audition (If you are nervous about auditioning, you can audition in a group). See the Audition Info page for more.
• Attend Rehearsals and Performances: Participant is available and committed to all rehearsal and performance dates.
• Practice at Home: Participant is willing and prepared to practice at home.
• Provide Part or Whole of Costume: Participant is responsible to provide part of some or all of your costume.
• Pay Participation Fee: Pay the $10 participation fee if you attend one of the two parent meetings and $30 if you do not attend one of the meetings.
• Help Backstage During One Show: Parent/guardian will help backstage during one of the three shows (just one per family, not per child).
• Help During One Tech/Dress Rehearsal: Parent/guardian will help at one of the six final rehearsals (just one per family, not per child).
• Help During Regular Rehearsals: Parent/guardian of participants in grades K-3 must also help at rehearsals throughout the practice period. This will be 2-4 rehearsals depending on how many participants we have. You will likely need to help for each child in this age range.
• Make Rehearsals Top Priority: We ask that rehearsals for the show are your first priority. If you have other commitments that conflict with the rehearsal times, we will expect that rehearsals will come first. We do not ask that you do not fulfill previous commitments; we just ask you do not commit to this if you cannot because of previous commitments. We have a very short rehearsal window so we need to utilize what we have. Ensemble parts will not require as much rehearsal time, so if you cannot commit a lot of time but still want to be a part of the show, an ensemble part is great for you. Please make note of any conflicts you have on your audition form. If we know a date you will miss, we might be able to make it so your part does not come that day. 
• Follow Attendance Policy: You have two unexcused absences. If you have more than two, you might be removed from numbers. Sickness is always excused. Major family events are always excused. All excused absences need to be cleared BEFORE the missed rehearsal.
• Attend All Tech/Dress Rehearsals: See the Schedule Page for details on when these dates are. If you have dates during these rehearsals you will miss, list them on your audition form. If they are not listed, we will expect you to be at all tech/dress rehearsals (pending sickness). 

FaFailure to fulfill the responsibilities listed above is grounds for dismissal from the show--both the current show and future shows. Participant must also follow the rules.
